Conowingo Models is a small, family-owned “mom and pop” business founded in 2019 and based in Conowingo, Maryland. We design and manufacture laser-cut wood model railroad kits in HO scale, N scale, and O/On30.
Our products are designed for model railroaders looking to build realistic layouts using high-quality model railroad structures and rolling stock. We produce our kits using real wood, precision laser cutting, and 3D-printed components to achieve authentic textures and superior detail. We additionally use quality components from companies such as Kadee, Tichy, Tomar, Rail-Scale Models and LaBelle Woodworking.
Unlike mass-produced plastic kits, our craftsman kits provide a more realistic and rewarding building experience. All products are available to shop online, making it easy to find unique model railroad kits. We also offer hard-to-find kits and brass locomotives from manufacturers such as Ambroid and Concor.
In addition to our own product line, we are an authorized Broadway Limited Imports dealer, offering premium locomotives and rolling stock.

Bodie is our Chief Dog and shop companion. He came to us through the wonderful folks at House of Hope Animal Rescue after being surrendered with heartworm. Thanks to their care and treatment, he made a full recovery and quickly became part of our family.
A DNA test revealed that Bodie is a little bit of just about everything — which probably explains his easygoing nature and the quest for the perfect nap. Around Conowingo Models, he’s become the mascot, appearing in several real and AI-generated photos to help bring our projects and scenes to life. Bodie is always nearby with a wagging tail and a great disposition. Or maybe just sleeping in his bed...
